Safari Tours in Habarana & Minneriya
We offer safaris in four major parks in our area: Hurulu Eco Park, Gal Oya Eco Park, Minneriya National Park, and Kaudulla National Park.
Hurulu and Gal Oya Eco Parks are located closest to the Habarana service area, while Minneriya and Kaudulla National Parks are located in the Minneriya area. The duration of a safari varies depending on the park, but on average, a tour lasts at least 2 to 3 hours.

We can accommodate you in a single jeep by placing one person in the front passenger seat. However, park regulations generally prefer a maximum of 6 passengers in the rear.

You will require two separate jeeps for your safety and comfort.
Families with Children: If you want to see if your group can fit into one jeep, please contact our operators to help manage arrangements.
Best Time to Visit
Safaris start anytime between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM (Ticket counters close at 5:00 PM).
Avoid Midday (10:30 AM - 1:30 PM)
We strongly recommend avoiding midday safaris. The sun is intense, and animal activity is low as they hide deep in the jungle to escape the heat.
Prime Viewing Times
The best times are early morning or late afternoon (around 3:00 PM or 4:00 PM). You are much more likely to see active wildlife behavior.

The best time depends on the park. For Minneriya, July to October is ideal for the "Gathering." Generally, afternoon safaris (3-6 PM) offer the best elephant sightings near water.
